Israel's economy declined because of the war in Gaza
A statement to the Central Bureau of Statistics said gross domestic product fell by 0.4% between July and September compared with the second quarter of the year, because of the war on Gaza, which ended on August 26.
According to the Ministry of Finance that it expected the low rate of economic growth in 2014 because of the war.
She said in a statement that "the Israeli economy remains stable thanks to the measures taken by the ministry during the 2013-2014 and therefore we believe that this result is limited and not a long-term trend."
The ministry said its forecast to achieve growth of 2.4% in 2014 and 2.8% in 2015 have not changed.
The Israeli economy, grew by 3.2% in 2013.
